Our ecological approach
In light of the current environmental crisis, the Centre Dentaire Dre Audrey Caron is committed to doing its part. For several years now, we have been mindful of the products we use and are seeking effective and hygienic ways to reduce our ecological footprint.
Our goals are to avoid product waste whenever possible, eliminate disposable items, and opt for reusable, washable, or sterilizable instruments. We also aim to limit individual packaging by favoring refill packs or bulk purchases, and to choose recyclable single-use products or products made from recycled materials when a reusable option is not available. We also seek out eco-friendly and effective dental hygiene products that meet the high standards of your oral health.
We have also implemented a recycling system for waste not accepted in municipal collections. We recycle used dental hygiene products from our patients and staff, such as toothbrushes, electric toothbrush heads, interdental brushes, and floss holders. We can also redirect items usually thrown in the garbage, such as gloves, masks, and disinfectant wipes, so they can be processed responsibly. These initiatives are part of our commitment to reducing the environmental impact of our operations and encouraging more sustainable practices within the clinic.
We are also very proud that our efforts have been recognized by Recyc-Québec’s ICI on recycle+ program since 2019, and that we achieved Elite level in November 2025, the highest distinction for responsible waste management. In 2020, Recyc-Québec even selected us as Performance level ambassadors and filmed a video to showcase our best environmental practices. These accolades demonstrate our genuine and ongoing commitment to sustainable, innovative, and environmentally responsible practices.
We know that the transition to greener dentistry is an ongoing process, and that there is still much to be done. Every little gesture helps, and together, we can make a real difference for the planet. Thank you for joining us in our efforts to make your smiles greener and contribute to a healthier environment for everyone.
